Led by project manager Saeed Albatal, Rousl Studio emerged as a pioneering initiative within the besieged city of Douma, Syria, during the years of 2014 to 2018. Despite the challenging circumstances, Rousl Group undertook a transformative mission to establish a fully-equipped recording facility—a first of its kind in the Eastern Ghouta region.
The studio’s inception stemmed from a profound commitment to fostering artistic expression and collaboration amidst adversity. Its primary objective was to provide a platform for musicians and broadcasters to create and disseminate content, aiming to amplify local voices and talents on a global scale.
